Professional optoelectronics manufacturer LEARNEW Opto recently unveiled its COB 5555 series 5-color COB LED chips exclusively customized for photography and film fill light, launching a game-changing product for high-power studio lighting.

Available in 180W and 360W power options, the chips integrate 620nm red, 460nm blue and 520nm green spectra with an adjustable CCT range of 2300K to 7000K, ideal for portrait shooting, live streaming, short-video creation and professional film studios. It boasts a high CRI of RA95 and luminous efficiency up to 90LM/W, delivering ultra-realistic color rendering and cutting post-production color grading workload.

The chips support 3A/6A driving current and 58-62V wide voltage input. High-density packaging balances strong brightness and stable heat dissipation, ensuring flicker-free and color-consistent long-hour shooting. Unlike traditional single-color COBs, the all-in-one 5-color design enables seamless switch between warm/cold white light and RGB colored light, pairing perfectly with softboxes and photography umbrellas to create layered ambient lighting.

The R&D team states the new series fixes common pain points of commercial studio lights including narrow color gamut, poor color rendition and insufficient power, supplying high-performance core light sources for lighting manufacturers and upgrading professional film lighting toward compact size and superior image quality.
